Bebecool, chameleon and fun factory’s Bugingo take oath as new UNCC Board of trustees

Musicians Moses Ssali also known as Bebe Cool, his counterpart Joseph Mayanja alias Chameleon and fun factory’s Bugingo Hannington have been sworn in as newly appointed Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC) board of trustee members. The new Board is comprised of big names in the Arts and Culture and we have no doubt each member will bring a unique set of skills and experiences that will contribute to the success of UNCC in fostering cultural exchange and artistic expression,” statement from the ministry reads. The Ministry also added that it recognizes UNCC’s critical role in promoting our diverse Cultural Heritage and the new board is envisioned to provide strategic policy direction for the cultural sector, support artists’ contributions to national development, and strengthen governance within the cultural community. The ministry was thus hopeful that the board of trustees will build on success made by the outgoing board including building on plans to establish theaters and cultural centers in the regions, encouraging and developing cultural and artistic activities, and accommodating societies, groups, and organizations with cultural, artistic, philanthropic, or educational purposes.
